Wrapping It Up (Part 2)
How did this project proceed?
As this was the second year I have been part of a Synergy Project I felt confident with most of the apps that we used this year. I also had several students that had been in my class last year and their support and knowledge was invaluable.
Using apple TV and a Smart-board to screen mirror my iPad when teaching the class about an app and how we were going to use it to share our learning worked very well. Students were able to find and point out the tools we needed so that everyone could see. We also used this method to show students work to the whole class. Students were given time to explore each app that was new to them before using it the publish/share their work. We practiced the skill of "three before me" when the students experienced difficulties. They had to check in with at least three other students before seeking adult help, 90% of the time the other students could help find a solution.
The work that was created by the students during this project is truly inspiring.
When ever technology was used, students used Google classroom to hand in finished work. I was then able to look at it, make suggestions and send it back. This was a great way to gather in work quickly and keep track of who needed more support. Work that was created was shared though bulletin board displays, this blog, hard copies (printed out posters and books) and electronic copies of our work through seesaw and google classroom.
