Monster Project (Part 1)
As part of our "What makes me unique" project I decided to do some work with our little buddy class in Kindergarten. Together we read a book called "The Snurtch". Some days are Snurtch days. Ruthie (the main character) is having one of those days. Ruthie has a problem at school. It is not the students. It is not the classroom. It is not the reading or the writing or the math. It is something scribbly, scrunchy, grabby, burpy and rude. It is the Snurtch. Together we hepled our little buddies create their own monster, but this monster had to be helpful and kind not rude like a Snurtch. Once the monsters were finished we used peer critique to provide helpful feed back through two stars and a wish. Some students used the app Adobe Fill and Sign to provide their feed back on the same form as everyone else while using technology to support recording their thoughts and suggestions.
